My name is Jason Morehead, and I’m the owner and one of the editors here at Christ and Pop Culture. I first discovered CAPC nearly 15 years ago and was instantly intrigued and inspired by both the site’s religious conviction and cultural savviness. It was immediately obvious that the site’s staff took their mission seriously:
To edify the Church, glorify God, and witness to the world by encouraging and modeling a biblical presence within culture that is characterized by nuance and appreciation while resisting the extremes of thoughtless condemnation and uncritical embrace.
I became a CAPC writer in 2010 and, eventually, an editor and the owner. In the meantime, I’ve been continually impressed by both the breadth and depth of CAPC’s coverage, from horror and superhero movies to beloved literary classics and cultural trends to indie music and countless hours of podcast episodes. And all of it focused on one simple goal: to celebrate the good, the beautiful, and the true… wherever it may be found.
In order to keep striving towards that goal, however, we need your help to keep the lights on. CAPC has two primary streams of revenue: subscriptions and sponsorships. These cover the costs of hosting and maintaining the site, but more importantly, allow us to compensate our editors and staff writers for their time and effort.
CAPC subscriptions start at $5/month. In addition to supporting our mission, subscribers gain access to exclusive articles and downloads, as well as our super-cool members’ only Facebook group, where they can interact with other subscribers and CAPC staff.
If you’re currently a subscriber, then thanks for your ongoing support. If you’re not a subscriber, or you’ve let your subscription lapse, then consider becoming one today.
CAPC sponsorships allow you to promote your latest work—be it a recently released book or album, a new game or film, an upcoming course or workshop, or any other artistic or educational work—to CAPC’s extensive audience through our website, podcasts, and social media channels.
We offer several sponsorship packages that can be further customized to better meet your specific needs.
One more thing… CAPC is only as good as its writing. We’ve published thousands of articles by some of the best writers on the beat. But we’re always on the lookout for new voices and perspectives. If you’re interested in writing for us, we’d love to hear your ideas.
If you enjoy our articles and find them interesting—if you think sound, thoughtful cultural criticism is valuable and worthwhile—then support our efforts by becoming a subscriber or considering a sponsorship opportunity.
On behalf of the entire Christ and Pop Culture team, thanks for reading, and we hope you have a wonderful 2024.
