Q2 Results 

On Thursday, United Breweries Ltd reported a 23.47 percent increase in consolidated net profit, reaching Rs 132.33 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2024, driven by better volumes. The company, controlled by Dutch multinational brewing giant Heineken NV, posted a net profit of Rs 107.17 crore in the same quarter last year, according to a regulatory filing.

Management Commentary 

UBL’s revenue from operations rose by 13.13 percent to Rs 4,743.56 crore during this quarter, up from Rs 4,192.86 crore a year earlier. UBL stated that total volume increased by 5 percent in Q2, despite unfavorable weather, mainly driven by growth in the North and West regions. The gross profit grew by 13 percent, fueling a 26 percent increase in EBIT and supporting significant investments in its brands and organizational capabilities.
