Price Movement
During Friday’s trading session, Adani Power Ltd’s shares reached an intra-day high of Rs.513.75 per share, rising 1.3 percent from the previous close of Rs.507.15 each before closing at Rs.506.10 each.
Similarly, the shares of JSW Energy Ltd reached an intra-day high of Rs.641.00 per share, rising nearly 1 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs.636.50 each before closing at Rs.629.85 each.

Manufacturing Capacity
Adani Power’s organic pipeline totals 12.52 GW, with ongoing projects contributing 2.92 GW. The company has placed new orders for 9.60 GW, expanding its pipeline. With the required addition of 80 GW in thermal capacity, there are ongoing projects of 31 GW, leaving 49 GW of untapped potential.
JSW Energy has a total locked-in capacity of 19.2 GW. During the quarter, the company commissioned 204 MW of wind capacity, with 495 MW added year-to-date in FY25. It also commissioned 440 MW of the 454 MW SECI X Wind Project.
JSW Energy secured RE bids for 3.7 GW, bringing the total locked-in generation capacity to 19.2 GW. Additionally, new PPAs were signed for 3.8 GW of RE projects, with two-thirds of the projects won in CY24 now tied up under long-term PPAs.

On the other hand, JSW Energy Ltd posted a revenue of Rs.3,238 crore for Q2 FY25, a slight decrease of 0.6 percent from Rs.3,259 crore in Q2 FY24. The company’s net profit for Q2 FY25 was Rs.877 crore, reflecting a 2.3 percent increase from Rs.857 crore in the same period last year.
