Auto ancillary stock hits 20% upper circuit after reporting 156% YoY increase in net profit


During Thursday’s trading session, the shares of a leading manufacturer of traction gears and pinions hit a 20 percent circuit to reach a new high at Rs. 194.4 on BSE, after the company reported financial results for Q3 FY25 with a net profit growth of 50 percent QoQ and 156 percent YoY. 

With a market cap of Rs. 161.7 crores, the shares of G. G. Automotive Gears Limited closed in the green at Rs. 194.05, up by around 19.8 percent, as compared to its previous closing price of Rs. 162. 

What’s the news

The fluctuations in the share prices were observed after GG Automotive Gears Limited announced the financial results for Q3 FY25, through the recent filings with the BSE. 

For Q3 FY25, GG Automotive Gears reported revenue from operations of Rs. 29.2 crores, reflecting a significant growth of around 11 percent QoQ from Rs. 26 crores in Q2 FY25, and increased by about 31.3 percent YoY from Rs. 19.8 crores in Q3 FY24. 

The company’s net profit for Q3 FY25 grew to Rs. 2.61 crores, representing a rise of around 50 percent QoQ from Rs. 1.74 crores in Q2 FY25, and a year-on-year growth of nearly 156 percent from Rs. 1.02 crores in Q3 FY24.

Shareholding Pattern

As per the December 2024 shareholding pattern, the Promoters hold a 36.49 percent stake in the company, while Retail Investors hold a 63.51 percent stake in GG Automotive Gears.
