BREAKING: Kalki 2898 AD ends on a HIGH and with the promise of a sequel : Bollywood News

The much-awaited Kalki 2898 AD was released today and has taken an encouraging start at the box office. The film generated tremendous buzz due to the exciting cast, the future element and also the connection with the mythology. The visuals in the trailers indicated that this is a film that needs to be seen on the big screen. The film has met most of the expectations and it has also offered a huge surprise to the viewers in the end.

The sci-fi action entertainer has an incomplete end. But it won’t disappoint viewers as the makers make it very clear that a sequel is in the offing. In fact, ‘The Kalki Cinematic Universe continues’ is mentioned before the end credits start rolling. As per reports coming from various parts of the country, people broke into applause when this text was displayed, which clearly shows that the film has been loved and that the moviegoers are very excited about the sequel.

It now remains to be seen when the sequel will arrive and what it will be titled.

The other major surprise of the film, as reported by Bollywood Hungama, is that the film has cameos by Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal Thakur, S S Rajamouli and Ram Gopal Varma. It is rare for a film to have so many special appearances and it adds to its entertainment quotient.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani. As the title suggests, it is set in the future and also has a mythology connection. C Aswani Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies has produced this futuristic film and they went all out in promoting and inducing hype for their product. Last week, a grand event was held in Mumbai which was graced by Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan. At this event, Amitabh Bachchan surprised one and all by touching C Aswani Dutt’s feet.
