Indian Air Force (IAF) invites online applications in the prescribed format for the courses commencing in January 2026 for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) (Men and Women) in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches for Recruitment of SSC/PSC Commissioned Officers through Air Force Common Admission Online Test (AFCAT) – 01/2025.

  • Ground Duty Branch (Technical): 122 vacancies in Aeronautical Engineering Electronics (AE(L)) (Men-95, Women-27)  
  • Ground Duty Branch (Technical): 67 vacancies in Aeronautical Engineering Mechanical (AE(M)) (Men-53, Women-14)
  • Ground Duty Branch (Non-Technical) – Weapon Systems

    : 17 vacancies (Men-14, Women-03)
  • Ground Duty Branch (Non-Technical) – Admin: 53 vacancies (Men-42, Women-11)
  • Ground Duty Branch (Non-Technical) – Accounts: 13 vacancies ((Men-11, Women-02)
  • Ground Duty Branch (Non-Technical) – Logistics: 16 vacancies (Men-13, Women-03)
  • Ground Duty Branch (Non-Technical) – Education: 09 vacancies (Men-07, Women-02)

  • NCC Branch Special Entry Flying Permanent Commission (PC) Men  – 10% seats out of CDSE vacancies for PC
  • NCC Branch Special Entry Flying Short Service Commission (SSC) Men/Women  – 10% seats out of AFCAT vacancies for SSC

Pay Scale Offered: Pay Level-10 ₹56100-110700 plus MSP 515500 and other numerous allowances.

Age (as of 01/01/2026): Flying – 20-24 years. The age of the candidates holding the current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is 26 years. Ground Duty Officer – 20-26 years

Online examination will be conducted in the month of February 2025 for AFCAT 01/2025 examination.
