Power stock hits 5% upper circuit after net profit increases by 157% YoY


One of the Small-Cap Renewable stock has hit a 5% upper circuit after reporting increased revenue by 249 percent YOY and a net profit increase of 157 percent YOY in Q2 FY25.

Share Price Movement 

The share price of Waaree Renewable Limited hit a 5 percent upper circuit to Rs. 1,734.75 per share on Tuesday, a significant rise from its previous close of Rs. 1,652.15 per share. Over the past one month, the share has been on an upward trajectory, delivering returns of over 3 percent. The market capitalisation now stands at approximately Rs. 16,400 crore as of November 06, 2024.

What Happened

Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited’s recent quarter saw a rise in revenue and net profits, which led to this bullish movement in the stock price. According to its recent filing, in the quarter ending September 2024, Waaree Renewable Technologie’s consolidated revenue from operations has increased by 249 percent YOY, from Rs. 150 crore in Q2 FY24 to Rs. 524 crore in Q2 FY25, and grown by 122 percent QoQ from Rs. 236 crore in Q1 FY25. 

The company’s consolidated net profit has increased by 157 percent, from Rs. 21 crore in Q2 FY24 to Rs. 54 crore in Q2 FY25. As compared to the last quarter of 2025, the company’s net profit is up by 92 percent QoQ from Rs. 28 crore. The company’s EPS has increased by 159 percent from Rs. 1.98 in Q2 FY24 to Rs. 5.14 in Q2 FY25. 

Shareholding Pattern:

As of the November 2024 shareholding pattern, Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited is primarily held by the promoter with 74.44 percent, foreign institutional investors hold 0.98 percent, and the public by 24.58 percent.
