Share Price Movement 

The share price of Tata Power Limited went up by 1.35 percent to Rs. 399.35 per share on Thursday, an increase from its previous close of Rs. 404.75 per share. The market capitalisation now stands at approximately Rs. 1,29,331 crore as of November 14, 2024.

What Happened 

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) successfully commissioned India’s largest floating solar project of 126 MW in Omkareshwar, Madhya Pradesh. The Rs. 596 crore project features 213,460 solar modules and the world’s largest floating platform, covering 260 hectares. Completed in 28 months, it will generate 204,580 MWh annually while saving 173,893 tonnes of CO2.

Q2 Financial Highlights

According to its recent filing, in the quarter ending September 2024, Tata Power Limited’s consolidated revenue from operations has decreased by 0.2 percent YOY from Rs. 15,738 crore in Q2 FY24 to Rs. 15,698 crore in Q2 FY25 and decreased by 9.2 percent QoQ from Rs. 17,294 crore in Q4 FY24. 

The company’s consolidated net profit has increased by 7.4 percent, from Rs. 1,017 crore in Q2 FY24 to Rs. 1,093 crore in Q2 FY25. As compared to the last quarter of 2025, the company’s net profit has decreased by 8.07 percent QoQ from Rs. 1,189 crore.
