The Afghanistan all-rounder has won his team many matches with the bat also, especially in the shortest format of the game.
An example of Rashid’s batting prowess was seen at Sharjah on Sunday when Afghanistan beat Ireland by 10 runs in the 2nd T20I.
On the last ball of the 18th over bowled by Ireland pacer Barry McCarthy, Rashid hit a no-look six stunning one and all at the stadium.
McCarthy bowled a low full-toss on middle-leg, Rashid just stood still and simply swiped it away over the deep backward square leg fence for a six.
Rashid didn’t even look at it as it sailed over and looked like he was dabbing by the time he was done with the shot.
